10 years..

I went to the first post made on this blog in 2005 and started reading. It felt so nice to read and relive those days.. those carefree days.. and my posts reflected those times.. Im so glad I used to write. I wish I could (would?) do that even now. It's like archiving a part of your world virtually so that you can get back to it whenever you can..

10 years it has been.. how easily I used to write back then. How much I had to say on different things, about myself, about the world... Now all that time goes in liking photos and posts on facebook..

I'm making no promises but I do feel inspired to write again..

I hear you! These days I just blog some book/movie reviews, or a rant or two when I'm frustrated with something (someone).

Of course, work takes up a large chunk of an average individual's time. The remainder must be economically divided between family, a hobby, and most importantly relaxation.

For me the hobby used to be writing. But after a certain point, it seemed all I wanted to say was said, and there was nothing new or creative to write about. Then I went back to dabble a little in my second hobby: chess. Then I started blogging about my chess games, another sudden inspiration that expired just as suddenly because it cost me time I had not.

So now, I just focus on relaxation. On Saturdays, I play a few chess games online just for fun (and to exercise the brain), sip some wine or beer, and spend the remainder of the weekend watching some shows on my Amazon Prime account (glad I deleted my facebook account and stopped watching the stupid shows on television around 2 years ago). And then I sleep off the weight of the entire week.

But I still love to write, that worm is not dead, but only lays latent, waiting for some time and inspiration. And it would spring into action at the slightest provocation, if only it is given some time to download itself via the keyboard. I know. I just wrote a whole post in your comments section!

Cheers!
